Bonjour, Je m'appelle Kat! I don't speak french but I'd love to live in Paris so I try to integrate parisian lingo into my daily language.  I just love France, there is a certain je ne sais quoi, probably the croissants.  As a freshman at the University of Texas, I have joined Kappa Delta, a sorority on campus, which allows me to form a group of friends that are dependable and ambitious, just like me.  At the current moment, I am trying out to be a Life & Arts staff member at the Daily Texan.  Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the expansive nature of a major like journalism and in order to cope with the lack of direction, I plan to write for the Texan and potentially host a KVRX radio show.  Other than that, I am just living the days as they come secretly hoping that an inspiring, life-changing opportunity with fall in my lap (i.e. Sir Issac Newton's apple revelation).

I am not sure specifically what I want to do within journalism as I mentioned before but I do have an affinity for everything movies, television, and music.  One of my favorite media journalism series is done by editor at large, Lynn Hirschberg, for W Magazine.  In each video, an interview is done by Hirschberg on different actors.  My favorite is Jennifer Lawerence's.
